Lansing Crankshaft Lathe/Machining Center

The Lansing Crankshaft Lathe/Machining Center is a modern machining center designed for complex machining of crankshafts by means of the turn mill method, as well as for performing turning, milling and drilling operations. The machine consists of two basic assemblies:

•  Assembly No.1

•  two-guideway bed

•  headstock with the „C” axis

•  tailstock with the „C” axis

•  numerically controlled steady rest ( 3 axis – two for two quills plus one traveling).

•  Assembly No.2

•  three-guideway bed

•  column base

•  milling and turning head

•  tool magazine (60 tools as standard)

•  magazine for milling and turning heads (4 stations - 4 heads)

•  operator cabin.

A chip conveyor with a coolant tank at its end is situated between Assembly No.1 and 2.

Assembly No.1 is designed for workpiece clamping and to provide its rotation at both milling and turning operations. Power of the turning spindle drive – 100kW.

Assembly No.2 is designed for machining of components. Power of the milling spindle drive is 51 kW.

The Lansing Crankshaft Lathe/Machining Center is intended for machining of crankshafts of 500 mm in journal diameter and 12m in length.
