The particular machine comes with an 88 kW / 110 HP spindle motor and is capable to take workpieces of 20 metric tons between the centers.
The Lansing PB1000 is designed to meet the highest demands with regards to cutting power, precision, safety and fast and easy handling of large parts. It is designed to be powerful, reliable and affordable.
The machine is basically a flatbed with four bed ways. The Lansing PB1000 is completely enclosed by telescopic covers during machining.
The design is extremely stable and can handle heavy workpieces and large spindle power, If you need additional power a 160 kW = 215HP spindle motor can be put on it.
The machine is section built and can be purchased with any center distance between 1800 - 14000 mm. The Z-axis drive is with 4" ball-screw for center distances 2000 - 6000 mm. The longer machines are equipped with rack and pinion drive.
